The Master Veterinary Cardiorespiratory Medicine Symposium will take place October 22–25, 2026, in Sarasota, Florida. This intensive, RACE-approved continuing education program is designed for practicing veterinarians and brings together expertise across cardiology, respiratory medicine, emergency and critical care.

The program features an exceptional multidisciplinary faculty. Dr. Steve Carey of Michigan State University contributes expertise in veterinary respiratory medicine; Dr. Elizabeth Rozanski of Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University is board-certified in both internal medicine and emergency and critical care, with a major clinical and research focus on respiratory physiology and ventilatory management; Dr. Augusta Pelosi, founder of the Veterinary Heart Institute, is dual board-certified in veterinary cardiology and veterinary surgery, previously served on the faculty at Michigan State University; Dr. Meg Sleeper is a board-certified cardiologist, Clinical Professor, and Cardiology Service Chief at the University of Florida; and Dr. Marco Ruffato brings additional specialist expertise to the program.

Through advanced lectures and hands-on training, the Symposium is specifically tailored to general practitioners, emergency doctors, and veterinarians who want to refresh their knowledge of this important area of medicine. The program is designed to strengthen cardiorespiratory diagnostic skills and enhance participants’ ability and confidence in performing echocardiograms, with practical knowledge that can be applied directly in clinical practice.

The 2026 AAVN Technician Workshop will take place on Friday, October 23 through Sunday, October 25 at the University of Tennessee Conference Center in Knoxville, TN. In addition to earning 13 RACE approved CE credits, attendees will form a network of technicians in their region that they can connect and consult with on nutrition and other topics. Technicians will also be able to forge connections with professionals in pet food and related service industries.

Each technician will leave with a nutrition “manual” that summarizes key learning points and includes tools for use in their day-to-day work.
